"Belle's Dinner Disaster" (belledin.gif, 1021x696x2, 16336 bytes) is the 36th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]>.

There's one thing about "Beauty and the Beast" that doesn't make sense. Who does the cooking in Belle's family? It obviously can't be Maurice, because he'd blow the house up. That leave Belle. But she's always reading, and she's always portrayed as a "modern" woman, who knows better (i.e., takeout and delivery :-) But Belle also reads cookbooks, as well, and can even apply what she's learned from them! Although, as you can see from this picture, she doesn't do this very well....

This picture was inspired by the FDC Walkaround Belle's inability to cook to save her life. :-D

"Belle Lee, Daughter of Bruce" (bellelee.gif, 628x762x2, 10599 bytes) is the 37th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]>.

Imagine if Belle, from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, starred in a Bruce Lee movie. Or if she'd been the heroine of the upcoming Disney animated feature FU MALAN (or whatever they're calling it these days). If so, Gaston wouldn't have just been thrown out of her house, he'd come in to see Belle coming at him with a flying side kick like this!

"Belle Coquette" (bellecoq.gif, 1012x712x2, 17970 bytes) is the 38th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]>, and the 15th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card." :-)

"Flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend to keep...." That's what Cogsworth suggested to Beast as presents for Belle. But what could Belle give back to Beast? In this image, we see Belle debating this very point, and finally decides on something that Beast is sure to like...;-)

This is a handmade birthday card drawn by Bob for the FDC Beast, Jeff Wilson <jdwilson@[...]>, and signed by him, the FDC Belle, Amberle Ferrian, the balance of the Bucketeer Bodyguard Brigade, David Cuthbert and David Uy, and their partners-in-crime, Pam Shaw, lar3ry gensch, Christine Moeser, and Steve and Viola Pagano. The image is divided into several sections:

left: front cover of card
right: inside of card
inset: back of card with Bucketland Cards slogan

As with all Bucketland Cards, permission to scan from the recipient was received, and all personal messages have been deleted from the image. Happy birthday, Jeff! And *no*, Belle's "present" to Beast isn't *quite* what Beast wants ;-), but you can't have everything...

"Beauty Dance" (batbdnce.gif, 919x766x2, 26732 bytes) is the 39th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]>.

Tale as old as time, true as it can be.....

The romance and love between Belle and Beast is captured poignantly in this beautiful drawing, set to the lyrics from the title song.

Although not as poignant as getting the 14"x17" copy of the original to fit on the 8.5" x 11" scanner bed. :-D

"Belle's Birthday Surprise #1" (belbday1.gif, 592x761x2, 15119 bytes) is the 40th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 16th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card." :-)

WARNING: This image is a bit on the risque side--nothing nasty, just a bit suggestive, for reasons which will be obvious upon reading the description. :-)

In the movie "Beauty and the Beast", Beast made it quite clear that he would do anything for Belle. Well, this thought is put to the ultimate test when her birthday comes along. After all, what do you get a girl who already has access to everything in the castle? Including its Master? The Enchanted Objects thought long and hard about this one, and have decided to rewrap old presents into new packages. After all, the best presents are the ones that keep on giving, right? And since Belle's favorite thing in the castle is Beast himself, and she doesn't want to spend *too* much time unwrapping her "present", and since she's GOT to wonder just how much that long piece of ribbon is concealing on the "present"...

This is a handmade birthday card draw by Bob Ito for the birthday of Amberle Ferrian, the FDC walkaround Belle. It, and its two companion cards, spent three months traveling around the world to various rec.arts.disney readers and FDC members to be signed. Overall, 46 of 88 netters who participated in this little project of Bob's :) got this card.

The card made a stop at February's Disneyana convention at Disneyland with the FDC Mickey and Minnie, Rich and Carol Koster, and was signed by numerous walkaround characters (including one of Amberle's real-life Belle counterparts, who was sent a photo to prove it :-), as well as some Disney luminaries, such as animators Marc Davis, Ward Kimball, voice artist Greg Marr, and original Mouseketeers Sherry Alberoni, Sharon Baird, Bobby Burgess, Lonnie Burr, Tommy Cole, and Karen Pendenton.

The image itself is divided into several sections:
Top: front of card
Top right: back of card with "Bucketland Cards" logo
Bottom: inside of card

As with all Bucketland cards, all personal messages have been deleted from the image.

And, getting out of third-person talk for a bit :-), I'd like to give another heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this project. You helped make this birthday of mine one of the best ever.
