"Tinker-rug" (tinkerug.gif, 649x760x2, 12017 bytes) is the 24th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito . Some time ago, there was a long thread in rec.arts.disney about the Future Disney Cabinet (FDC) Magic Carpet (of ALADDIN fame) popping the question to the FDC Tinkerbell. Not surprisingly, there was a great deal of whimsical speculation about what their half-rug, half-pixie offspring might look like. So Bob headed off to the library to read up on genetic engineering and produced an artist's conception (pun intended :-) of the Tinker-rug. One has to wonder how it flies, though. Does it flap its pixie wings, or cruise along like a magic carpet, or what? Bob Ito's fanart drawings are archived at: ftp://ftp.ugcs.caltech.edu/pub/disney/images/ito/ http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~dacut/fdc.html Contact the archive maintainer, David Cuthbert for more details, and Bob for comments and queries on the drawings. Please ftp during off-peak hours if possible (4am-11am PDT, GMT -0700). Bob really puts a lot of effort into his drawings, so please feel free to drop him a line with your input--he'd really appreciate it! Unlike many of Bob's drawings, this image is too large to post to the non-binary newsgroups. If you cannot access the binary picture newsgroups and can't ftp, please drop me a line and I'll be happy to email you a copy. If you would like to receive scans of future drawings as they become available (whenever Bob feels like doing 'em, and I get around to scanning and posting 'em :-) please drop me a line and I'll add you to the distribution list.
